In the late 80’s, L.A. nightlife sucked, hair metal ruled the sunset strip and dance clubs were the snooty realm of velvet ropes. Then a multiracial bunch of hippies, hip hoppers, and social rejects started throwing all-night acid house parties in abandoned warehouses and a revolution was born. The L.A. Acid House Movement began. (Spin Magazine).

Roam Music is proud to welcome back an old friend and family member, prolific producer, remixer and DJ extraordinaire, Mazi Namvar. Mazi has appeared on over 200 records in 15 years time, creating music mainly as Audio Soul Project and working under a few other pseudonyms.
I first had a chance to really get to know Mazi, in a summer I spent in Chicago almost six years ago. I was freshly surprised by this experience and the opportunity to see Mazi play records many times was surely one of the hi…

Damian Lazarus, dressed in a full Wookie get up sans Wookie head, is going over in detail promotional aspects of our upcoming 6:AM party at Kelly's Mission Rock. A large animated Wookie paw exclaims each of his most important points to appropriate closure. I sit there, slowly pulling on the long strings of my own Wookie head, I'd fancy being a Wookie in cold environments I have come to realize.
Sitting out in the increasingly cold English countryside overlooking 50,000 costumed aliens, it is ea…

And
$10 presales are now available for 6:AM.
We admit our sadistic enjoyment in rolling pricing models. It's always been our mission to make a party available for all who want to attend it. Rarely does one venture into a dance hall in pursuit of gold.
6:AM, a labor of love, surely needs support in order to flourish into the early morning alternative we envision for her, but not in sacrifice of all those who truly wish to attend the s…

It's 6:AM, Sunday October 4th, 2009. The bar is open and it has been raised yet again!
Last season, Roam Music set out to establish a new paradigm for the San Francisco underground with our intimate AudioKinesis soirees. We long for more parties that stretch into the divine daytime hours where the mind and the music converge at their most twisted. We searched long and we found 6:AM, on the covered terrace of Kelly's Mission Rock overlooking the gorgeous San Francisco Bay!
On Oct. 4th, 2009, Ro…

M.A.N.D.Y’s style is choppy, sharp, with unbelievably fluid transitions, unexpected vocals, and (I thought I caught more than a few), old school glitch-techno sneaks. Minimalistic techno, served in a variety of flavors and constantly pumping your blood with another doze of adrenaline.
M.A.N.D.Y spins the type of techno you shouldn’t put on while driving switchbacks, as you would most certainly end up dead. It has that hard core edginess, just enough for you to take that turn a little faster, a…

The Compound SF is an authentically off-the-main-stream spot. The location is remote and isolated, surrounded by abandoned structures. Although it’s on a periphery of residential area, it really has a feeling of an industrial waste-land.The space itself is small and intimate, but reasonable to accommodate those who come to listen and those who come to dance.
From the moment I walked in, I felt like I am part of the tribe, community and feeling my most primitive drive to be part of sound and dan…

It was with shock, dear ladies and gentlemen, that I report to you this odd finding. Yesterday, during my usual raw goggin web querying, I discovered that someone had erased all memory of raw goggin's existence from wikipedia.
Now, in this time of hope, I was shocked to find this overt blackout of Raw Goggin facts. I realize we are doing something highly subversive pairing two legendary underground djs, placing them in a full immersion black box 360 degree audiovisual playroom for 150 people, a…

Long ago, we became good friends with a lovely chap named Justin case. One of those folks you'd appreciate to have around with a positive disposition and great attitude but you were never quite sure when they would show up. There were always issues singularly unique to this case.
Over time, we started leaving Justin's name on every guest list...hoping against hopes, that unlike Elvis, Justin might some day show up and claim it.
So again, we have it up for AudioKinesis: Jade this Saturday with…
